Abstract:
Do we really understand the cause and effect of disaster? Do we really learn something? If so, why do we sometimes still make the same mistakes again? This panel session studies several crises in the world based on various aspects according to the aforementioned questions. The panellists provide some examples from ASEAN, Thailand, and Vietnam, especially in financial crises. The aim of this panel is to raise awareness and present lessons learned from crises in the past as applicable to other regions of the world, especially the Baltic region. The panellists would like to use this occasion to provide the cause and effect, together with alternative solutions, of such crises.
